The Clay Pit makes me MAAAAD ... but I still eat there ... only for the Weekday Buffet though. The service at Clay Pit is poor, the water glasses are often dirty, and the sometimes nice staff is often forgetful. I can let all of this slide when I'm having the affordably-priced weekday buffet (especially if it includes Chicken Tikka Masala). After all, what I really need is a clean plate and a full selection of items. When the sun goes down, I will never (again) pay the increased price for moderately good indian food and bad service. I think the close proximity to UT and the dearth of Indian food competition in Central Austin keeps business booming at ye olde Claye Pitiful.
