This is one of my favorite tomato soups in Austin. It's too bad it's not a regular menu item, but rather a daily special. You need to call ahead to find out what day it's served if you want to try this soup.

What I liked about the soup was the good tomato flavor and creaminess. What I also liked was that even though it was creamy it still had a hint of what was in it: small bits of onion were what I noticed in particular. The fresh basil was also nice (instead of getting dried herbs). I think I'll forever crave this from time-to-time in the colder months.

    This is a great review!

Knowing that I was about to fall ill to something, I ordered a warm soup in the hopes that it would help me thwart the oncoming illness. While this wonderful dish did not prevent the inevitable, it sure was delicious. The soup was not overly tomatoish and had a hint of something spicy. I hope this dish makes it off the specials menu and onto the regular dinner menu.
