I still to this day do not understand what the big hype is about Mothers. I have been many a times always with friends or family visiting. Its always packed. I've tried just about everything on the menu and its just so so. This is just one of those tourist traps like Mulattes.

I love that you reviewed a breakfast dish instead of lunch. Mother's has the best breakfast. If there's a long line, don't fret. Someone will most likely be walking by taking bloody mary orders soon...

In a perfect world, every street corner in America would house a Mother's drive-up. In this imperfect world, we have to go to New Orleans to enjoy a proper breakfast.

If you’re lucky, you’ll arrive at Mother’s on a slow day and get to the order counter within twenty minutes. Your reward for the wait will be a homemade biscuit stuffed full of “debris” from last night’s roast beef pan.

Add a few dashes of hot sauce and you’re in breakfast heaven.
