Honestly, folks. Does it get any better on a hot Austin summer afternoon than relishing each lick of a large, dripping scoop of salty caramel gelato?
This gelato has the taste and smooth texture of caramel gelato, but the salty caramel adds a little savory kick that is utterly delightful. Teo's owner, Matthew Lee, says that when he adds the salty caramel into the gelato, the salt melts the gelato and it becomes almost like creme brulee.
If you're a salty-sweet fan, you'll love this flavor. The only hard part about the experience: deciding if you should combine salty caramel with Teo's PB& Nutella (see my PB& Nutella review), or keep it pure.
