This dish is nothing special when you compare it to other BBQ places (Salt Lick, Rudy's, Ruby's, Iron Works, etc.). It's good, but it's not worth the $12 price tag or the wait if you haven't made dinner reservations. I really, really want to love Lambert's because it's local, beautiful, and in a great part of town. However, when you charge a lot for a dish I expect a lot, and this dish didn't deliver. Like I already said, it was good but not great. The pork was nicely pulled and easy to eat. The flavor was nice too, but it missed the mark because it was too dry and the presentation was completely lackluster. The dish came on a white plate with a pile of pork and a lonely looking silver dollar-sized bun. At least the sauce bottles were fun to look at.
