This is my first experience with Yunnan food and I LOVED it! The chicken is well spiced on its own, but it comes with a little dish of additional hot red pepper spice and a fresh fruit (plum?) sauce. And yes, the chicken arrived with its head still on.
I ordered the chicken with roasted leeks and papaya wine (30 proof!). A great combination in a cute restaurant with very nice staff who wear what must be regional Yunnan-style clothing. (English language menu with pictures available.)1 member says this review is right on. This is a great review!
