i wouldn't say that i HATE desserts, i just generally don't care for them that much. but this one in particular, i must profess, i would have no shame in having a love affair with...
at first glance, you see a peculiar fried log accompanied by a raspberry compote, thick whipped cream and an oatmeal crisp. but that is a total injustice to what this dish actually offers. as soon as your spoon breaks the mold of the "fried milk", a richly sweet and creamy custard slowly pours out of the shell. together with the tart, sugary raspberries and sweet, lusciously smooth catalan foam, this combination rivals any unparallelled ecstacy you may have encountered in your lifetime.
now, if only it were legal to have a commitment ceremony joining a person with the food they loved, i'd be set for life...
