So this is indeed a very, very strange thing to have for dessert - it's like a coconut syrupy liquid with a variety of strange, crunchy, jellyish munchies on top. My favorite name was the one called a "tadpole", which was a tiny piece of barley in a tapioca ball. Other goodies include "coral", which surely must've been seaweed.
