
The first time I experienced the #10 from Mi Madre’s, I immediately identified what the secret ingredient must be: CRACK!
They say they are vegetarian, and while I am obliged to believe them, I have never tasted beans so deliciously seasoned sans some piece of meat, fat, bone or stock. Instaneous addiction occurs the moment of your first taste, and therefore, I deduce the final “vegetarian” ingredient to be crack. The beans are so lovingly refried with just the right amount of cumin and other seasonings, and the cheese molests the beans gently inside the soft, flour tortilla.
Every time I unravel my foil container, I am in awe. Simple goodness. Crack bean tacos.
