
This gordita is full of surprises: spicy chorizo is griddled by hand and mixed with pineapple for a savory and sweet combination that you won't quickly forget. The gordita is large and crispy, which is why I gave this an 8 instead of a 10. I personally like my gorditas smaller and a little thicker, but even so, this gordita is great. Black beans provide a creamy bed for the meat and the gordita is finished with fresh lettuce and onions, queso fresca, and a slice of avocado. Each one is made by hand so you'll have to wait a few minutes, but it's well worth it. Oh, and it's only $3.50 - so it's a great bargain to boot.
