Holy Cow, what did Austinites do before the arrival of Holy Cacao?
If you haven't already, get yourself to South First, and check out this darling trailer, the brainchild of Ellen Kinsey and John Spillyards. They got the inspiration for their melt-in-your-mouth "cakeballs" and "Drinking Chocolates" from a couple of NYC landmarks: Serendipity and City Bakery.
After reading Silent Meow's review of the "Cake Shake" (http://www.dishola.com/dishes/view/3118), I decided to branch out and try Cacao's Frozen Hot Chocolate. One sip, and I was in HEAVEN.
A swill of the creamy extravagance made me think: essence of chocolate. Deep. Rich. Velvety. Chocolaaaat.
(French Guittard chocolate has that effect, I suppose.)
Difficult as it may be to pass on the Frozen Hot Chocolate, I'm determined to try the Cake Shake the next time I visit - and I can't wait.

This is on my must-try list. Thanks for the review!
Don't forget about the Mexican option for the frozen hot chocolate...adding spicy chiles to frozen hot chocolate made my afternoon, the other day!
