Interesting take on a Texas classic. The brisket was solid, not epic. It was moist and flavorful without sauce (although you could use one of the three sauces they bring to the table: regular, hot, or mustard). This place is new and they aren't a typical central Texas BBQ place. Sort of high end, but not uptight. The guys cooking aparently do a lot of stuff outside of the normal ribs, brisket, and sausage that you usually find. This particular brisket dish was about a half pound of meat. The bark was a crust of brown sugar and coffee (very tasty). Not as good as Mueller's in Taylor or some of the places in Lockhart, but much better than Rudy's, Pokejoes, County Line, etc. Worth a try for sure. This place looks like a great destination for unique BBQ. This dish was about $12 bucks. I'll definitely be back to try out their other offerings. Side note: wait staff was very cool and they had live music. It's like Artz Rib House, but much nicer building. It's downtown next to city hall.
