If you could give 1/2 scores on Dishola, this bowl of fries would get a 6.5. I'd detract 2 points for being served sans dipping sauce. ANY type of dipping sauce. That includes mayo, aioli, mustard, ranch, even ketchup. C'mon folks, what's a big bowl of fries without a creamy dip of some kind?
Now to be fair, when we alerted our server that we needed an accompaniment, he brought....paprika aioli? Um, okay. And it was pretty good, but we couldn't help but notice it was the same aioli served with the fried calamari.
Not the end of the world - and imminently easy to resolve, but we'll just have to wait and see. Those crispy thin-cut fries would taste delicious with a rich, homemade aioli.
