There were *so many* great dishes we had tonight. And if you go, you can't really order single dishes, so I'm just going to give you an idea of what's to come when you go for the $55 prix fixe at Jai Yun.
The mushroom eggplant combo is fantastic, and the flavors and spices were rich, sultry, spicy and totally authentic. Oh secret numbing pepper (hua jiao) - you dance in this stir fry. I feel more powerful - it's like the cuisine here is a potion with +3 fortitude.
I am currently, already dying to go back for a night of spice - Chef Ni tells us he loves cooking the intense, spicy style. Who's in? =)

With trip #2 to Jai Yun under my belt, I want to mention that this dish even surpassed my memory of its deliciousness. Consistent, wonderful, and rich.
