The best cooked ribs I have ever had. The only way to improve would be to get some Ruby's sauce on it. The german potato salad is excellent. I agree that the rib plate has better ribs, but there is something comforting about there always being more ribs around the corner with the family style plate.

Don't order 'family style" if you want the really good pork ribs at the Salt Lick. I noticed a distinct difference a few years ago. If you go ahead and get the full slab of ribs, the quality far surpasses the stuff you get with family style. They are fantastic. I thought about giving them a 9, but wanted to manage your expectations. It's a can't miss. Just make sure someone at your table orders the family style meal so you can use the brisket to soak up the sauce (which is really the star attraction). The brisket, sausage, and ribs in the family style are average, but the sauce more than makes up for this.
