There are people who like root beer and people who don't.
Also, it seems that you either reeeaaally like it or reeeaaally dislike it.
I really dislike it.

So I've never bothered to have an ice cream float, since they're often made with root beer. And though I've seen them done with other sodas and I'll bet that's just fine, I'm sure purists who prefer root beer would disagree and I completely understand.

It's not a regular item on the Moss Beach menu (dessert special) but how fun and decadent to have an ice cream float of strawberry sorbet atop champagne! I've always favored champagne cocktails, often with things like blackberry nectar so I was thrilled and surprised to see it presented this way.

Also, it doesn't hurt to watch the sunset from your window seat overlooking the ocean.
Also, it doesn't hurt to order two desserts so while you're at it, get the banana marshmallow wontons with chocolate fondue for dipping.
