My Mom has a saying when something really great happens to her: "God blew me a kiss."
That's how I felt when I took one bite of Fonda San Miguel's crepas de cajeta. (For the uninitiated, cajeta is the Mexican version of dulce de leche, made of sweetened, caramelized milk).
The crepes themselves are feathery - light, airy and melt-in-your mouth delicate. But it is the homemade cajeta that steals the limelight. It is rich, buttery and caramelized all at once. And just when you don't think your taste buds can handle all of the stimulation, a cold creamy caramel ice cream races to the rescue.
A perfect 10 - the "Dishola" - to the Crepas? Pues, claro que si!
