My favorite combination is anchovy and fresh tomato--ask for it cooked on the crispy side, and partner it with the baby spinach and chickpea salad.
Plan ahead for a visit to Home Slice Pizza, due to limited seating but a well-deserved wait for tasty pizza. I highly recommend starting out your meal by sharing one of the generous portions of salad or appetizers. My favorite is the Greek salad, freshly tossed with high quality feta cheese and Kalamata olives - be sure to ask for an extra garlic knot if you are splitting this salad!
As a previous reviewer stated, the "Tried and True" options at Home Slice are a great way to truly enjoy your first visit. My favorite is the #4, which includes a flavorful balance of spinach, roasted red peppers, green olives and onions. The #6 with sausage, roasted red pepper, and fresh ricotta cheese is also a good combination, although the sausage was a little disappointing. I was expecting a spicier, moist sausage link slice, but the ricotta and homemade sauce more than made up for it.
On a final note, I must say that although I am not much of a cheesecake fan, Home Slice has the best cheesecake I've ever tasted. Their cheesecake is consistently flavorful, lightly infused with lemon, and always moist. Although there are many pizza places more convenient and less crowded than Home Slice Pizza, it's well worth the drive and the wait for "the Queen of Pies".
The eggplant pizza pretty much changed my life. Late Sunday mornings = Home Slice + Eggplant Pizza + Lone Star....awesome.
There is no feeling like a Home Slice belly! The #4 or the #6 or both at the same time topped off with the cheesecake leaves your body warm and satisfied with food educed endorphins flowing wild.
new york style but not as crispy as it might be. just the right balance of grease and cheese, and good quality toppings, though!
