I am not a pie person, much less a coconut pie person- but that is how good this pie is. This is the best of the best and I challenge anyone out there to find a better piece of pie. I dare you! The crust is homemade. The meringue is a full 2.5 inches at the thickest point and is topped with lightly browned coconut shavings.

Baton Rouge has many places to get a great pizza- but Fleur de Lis' veggie pizza with saus. and pepperoni is at the top of the list. The pizza is flavorful with all the onions, olives and bannana peppers and a good thick pizza sauce. They call the pizza "roman pizza" and I am not sure what that means but whatever it means, it is good pizza. The restaurant itself has character and is worth checking out.

Eggs Begnaud is a grilled biscuit with eggs on top (eggs over easy is my favorite) covered in a crawfish au gratin sauce. You can get it covered in crawfish etouffee if you prefer- I don't prefer. It is served with a side of grits- I recommend andouille sausage grits with cheese. I will drive 45 minutes out of town to eat this.

This dish is one shrimp and crab enchilada, a crawfish and spinach enchilada, one crawfish taco with guacamole and a whole lot of goodness.
