About Judiaann

What can I say, I love to eat. I'm a happy eater. I also love to cook and I love to share good food with good friends. I love everything from the very simple and rustic to the very exotic, elaborate, and everything in between. And even though I've made food my profession, I try not to take it too seriously. Food is fun and food is personal. And like all great adventures in life, the seeking is half the pleasure.

Foodie Fetishes

  • Recommended Food Safari: Korean food because it's the food of my motherland. Southern food because it's the food of my other motherland. Ice cream, cake, and pie because life is short. And French fries because life is hard.
  • And to Drink: Coffee and espresso drinks from around the world, milkshakes, iced sweet tea, root beer, Italian cream sodas, Orangina, chocolate egg creams, fruit punch, avocado smoothies, fresh limeade, Farmer's lemonade, real egg nog, chocolate milk, hot chocolate, bubble tea, Chai tea, cocktails made with elderflower liqueur, and Belgian beer.
  • Your Fantasy Tablemates: In no particular order: Julia Childs, Jon Stewart, Oprah and Gail, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Martha Stewart, Woody Allen, Sophia Lauren, Elvis, Ethan Hawke, William Shatner, Anthony Bourdain, Thomas Jefferson, my friends of course, and some Hobbits because they like to eat and they can clean up afterwards.
  • Favorite Cuisine: I like regional food (no matter the region) so long as it's made with love and care.
  • Last Meal Request: A perfectly executed cheeseburger with the works, hot fries, a tall vanilla milkshake made with real ice cream, Henry Weinhard's root beer, and warm Oregon boysenberry pie with more vanilla ice cream. I'll also take anything my mother makes.
  • Favorite Eating Town: It might take a little searching but there is always something delicious to be had in every corner of the world.
