Azul also has a tasty grilled PB&J. I would appreciate the option of adding banana to take it to another level. Not everyone can get this simple dish right. Joe's Bar and Grill used unimpressive bread and didn't toast it enough.

I agree that it is a satisfying dish. Sometimes when I want an elegant kick I go to Wink for their mac and cheese with TRUFFLES...discounted at happy hour!

When I crave a French experience I think of a Croque Madam, which is a Croque Monsieur (grilled Ham and Guyere sandwich) topped with a fried egg. I think Bess Bistro does these as well on their dinner menu. I found it funny that La Madeleine, a french themed chain, offers Croque Monsieur, but didn't have any fresh eggs on the premise to add a fried egg, when I dined there. They said they only had a processed egg product.

I agree that when the craving hits, their Fish and Chips hit the spot. I also found that Mother Egan's does a fine job as well, particularly if I request that both the Fish and Chips be extra crispy. They also have discounted Fish and Chips a couple of days each week. Also at Mother's I can finish with a deep fried Snickers!

If you are a fan of meatloaf sandwiches you may also want to add the one at "The Kitchen Door" to your repertoire. It has distinctive flavors of carmelized meat and tomatoes. For me it is enough for two meals.
