There is a menu at The Salt Lick, but I don't know of anyone who has ever eaten anything except their all you can eat barbecue platter. They will bring out ribs, sausage, brisket, bread, potato salad, coleslaw and beans and let you eat until you burst. This barbecue is famous nationwide; it's catered to Governor's Mansions all over the nation and to the White House. Things you should know about the Salt Lick: Bring cash--they don't take checks or credit cards. BYOB--they don't serve alcohol. Prepare to wait--they don't take reservations, and there is ALWAYS a line (tempered by the live music on the outdoor patio.) And DO NOT take a cab--it's farther away than you think.

Malai Kofta is paneer stuffed vegetable patties, simmered in an onion curry with shredded coconut. I'm not a vegetarian, but the vegetarian food made by this Indian restaurant is exquisite. They can spice to order, so curry lovers and those sensitive to heat can enjoy equally. If coconut's not for you, try something else on their menu--the food is excellent!

Build your own or order a Brick Oven Specialty, and you won't be disappointed! The Brick Oven Restaurant actually uses the authentic wood-fired brick ovens from which they take their name, and the difference is in the taste. No mass produced pizza doughs here, just smoky goodness. (Also try their 15 layer lasagna. It's famous for a reason.) Rating: 8 (minus two for atmosphere, but the food's a ten.)
