What I liked most about this chicken fried steak was the GRAVY, it was homemade with specks of crunchy bacon. Also the choice for sides was wonderful; country style potatoes, hash browns, french fries. Would you like sauteed onions and bell peppers with those country style potatoes? Breakfast was also served with choice of toast, muffin, biscuit, etc. and two little pots of fresh jam. Great coffee too. I had to go home and take a nap.

The name of this dish is enough to make my eyes roll back into my head. Served with a cherry sauce. . . it was heaven on a fork. I wanted to take the smallest possible bites to savor every sub atomic particle.

Not a big fan of pork chops usually (the other white meat) as they have become too lean and dry most servings. This pork chop was the exception; served with a pomegranite glaze and a garnet yam puree, oh and brussel sprouts, (a much underrated and misunderstood vegetable). The au jus was perfect.

Essentially a local chain, Mary's has been serving great, inexpensive Italian dishes for a generation and a half. Their food is consistently good quality (I hear they use a central kitchen for most sauces, etc.) although the pizza and such are all prepared on site. The eggplant parmesan is firm, served with a tangy tomato sauce and just enough cheese. Yummy!
