The dish name in English means Roasted lamb rack in a mixed herb crust served in light mustard dressing. Boy..even the name already promises great dish and it turned out to be a wonderful one. First of all, I want to describe the supporting parts before going to the main one. The dish comes with mashed potato. Even though the mashed potate doesn't have any gravy to enhance the flavor, the ingredients, which are mainly potato and truffle, already provide enough flavors. The mustard dressing complements the mashed potato and the lamb as it has the subtle sweetness of truffle and the kick of the mustard. And finally, the main part: the roasted lamb rack. Never have I tasted lamb rack like this before. It is roasted to perfection where the meat are tender and flavorful. There is no tangling smell that usually comes with lamb rack dishes. Overall, this is by far the best lamb rack that I have ever tried.

I grew up eating this dish almost weekly. This is one of the most famous dish from my town and there is a good reason behind it. This is a noodle dish that comes with a whole bunch of stuff. You get white meat, Chinese style bbq pork, pork dumpling and usually friend wontons. It comes with the soup on the side and you can actually order fish balls as a side dish in addition to the dish. The sweet bbq pork, the tender and fresh white meat combined with the tasty pork dumpling makes this dish one hell of a dish that you gotta try. In addition to that, the texture and taste of the handmade noodle when mixed with the clear chicken broth soup is just to die for.

The dish consists of tender beef chunks that's marinated with some yummy traditional Vietnamese sauces and mixed veggies as the bed of the dish. The beef chunks are so tender and flavorful. I bet it's been marinated for a while before finally being strirred fried and served. Furthermore, there is a little side seasoning of salt and pepper for additional taste. Overall this is a dish that will fill you up and keep you wanting more.

Oh my god...what a feeling. I have never tasted dumpling like this. The impression lasted long after I ate the shumai. To begin describing it, let me start with the definition of shumai. It is a steamed ground pork dumpling with some vegetables on top like shredded carrots. The one that we ordered is the shrimp pork shumai. They put the shrimp on top of the shumai and the ground pork at the bottom. However, if you eat the shumai at Din Tai Fung, you are in for a little surprise. I took a bite of the shumai only to find there was a little explosion in my mouth. In addition to ground pork inside the shumai, the restaurant also add a little broth inside the shumai so that on the first bite, the water/broth inside the shumai explodes out of the shumai skin. The sensation is incredible. Furthermore, the taste of the shumai is excellent. Adding a little of vinegar, chili sauce and ginger makes this an excellent dish!!

I always look forward for Friday. Not because it's the weekend. Well yeah that too. But because I have to do two of my favorite things. Playing basketball down at UT Austin and eating pad see ew at Madam mam's. Pad see ew is a stir fried noodle with soy sauce, chinese broccoli, egg, choices of noodle (flat rice noodle or vermicelli) and slices of meat (chicken, pork, beef) or tofu. My favorite combination is Pad see ew with vermicelli and chicken and extra spicy. The vermicelli is stir fried with soy sauce and other ingrients. The chinese brocolli is just cooked just right. They are crunchy and fresh. the combination of the egg, vermicelli and meat is harmonious. Every ingrients compliments each other and that what makes this dish is awesome.
