Speaking of summer - totally forgot to post about the Morita! That's right, kids. A minty mojito and margarita marriage. What a beautiful baby! -1 for brain freeze, probably not their fault

It's already getting too cold for comfort here in NYC. Best way to ignore winter's arrival is to pretent the sun is still shining. Dark chocolate chunks, egg cream gelato and Battifollo biscuits. Absolutely decadent. And delicious.

It might have been that I had just voted before digging into this pile of ooey goodness but, man! Up there for greatest grilled cheese ever. Onion marmalade and mustard are thoughtful add-ons. Order with a side shoestring potatoes!

This restaurant deserves so much praise - first eco eatery in New York, outdoor seating, fantastic mix of locals & jealous Manhattanites, a margarita bike! - the delicious food is a bonus. After placing my order at the little truck, I sat down with my Morita (review coming soon) and dug in to some respectable chips and salsa. The atmosphere at Habana Outpost is part block-party, party Sunday picnic so didn't mind the short wait for the sandwich. Big chunks of queso blanco, ripe avacado on a roll slathered with chipotle mayo. Hells yes! As long as the weather doesn't pull a repeat of this past weekend, I plan on making this a regular stop this summer.

Good lord! I spent more time on this scrumptious monster than wandering the aisles. Wafles and Wagner chairs - very nice combo, though the scoop of organic Blue Marble coffee ice cream made a tastier pairing.
