These cookies are a terrific gift - send them to someone who aced a final exam...learned that they got a promotion...or just broke up with their boyfriend. They will help lift you out of a depression, or make your good mood even better. I personally love the M&M and snickerdoodle flavors, but I agree with the previous reviewers - they are all good. I recommend eating them with a big glass of cold milk, or if you want to be particularly decadent, order a pint of vanilla ice cream on the side!

Will someone please help me understand the Protein 2000?!! I hate to bring the high average score down, but after reading so many terrific reviews (not to mention, being intrigued by its name), I simply had to try this dish. I'll admit, it smelled enticing. I also enjoyed its mouth-feel - soft on the tongue, and rather chewy. The taste was a cross between tamari, miso, and caramelized brown sugar. But what is it we're eating exactly??? Clearly, this "veggie protein" is battered, and fried (in what, I wondered?). When I cut a piece in half, it looked like a nuggety version of French toast - definitely very bready/starchy in the middle. My husband had one bite and said we'd probably be healthier eating a fast-food burger. Okay, I seriously doubt that, but after several of these nuggets of "protein 2000," I did, indeed, feel like I'd ingested a gut bomb. What am I missing?

I totally agree with Katie. These are tacos you will dream about. I believe the pork is slow-simmered in a green chile stew. It is amazingly tender and full of flavor. Excellent paired with an ice-cold beer.

Sometimes, there is a bit of a wait in the drive-through or at the outside order window at P. Terry's. Rather than get frustrated, I consider this a good thing. It means that - while P. Terry's is a "fast-food" joint - they still take their cooking mission seriously. Take P.Terry's fries, for example. They start their spud lives as potatoes (novel concept!) rather than coming out of a bag or from a freezer. (Banished at P. Terry's are the regular fast-food accoutrement such as freezers, microwaves, and heat-lamps). Instead, these babies are peeled, cut, and fried on the premise, so that by the time they reach your mouth, they taste fresh and delicious. Finally, I have a particular penchant for thin fries with a bit of crisp to them. I love the fact that P. Terry's keeps the skin on some of their skinny fries, and they use an ideal amount of salt - not too much, but enough to make these pommes frites ridiculously addictive.
