Foodie Fetishes

• Recommended Food Safari: Apple pie (or any pie). When I moved to Austin about a decade ago I had a hell of a time finding pie. It's still a little difficult, but the recent addition of the Woodland has helped.
• And to Drink: Always on the lookout for the best root beer. Sorry Austinites, Maine Root does indeed start off delicious, but two things can mess up the flavor: warming or melting ice. Then you're just left with an icky beverage.
• Your Fantasy Tablemates: Already had dinner with her, but a decade ago: my friend Angie's sister. Her palate is incredible. She can taste a dish and recreate it at home from memory/taste/smell. Amazing!
• Favorite Cuisine: Does cheese count?
• Last Meal Request: I'm immortal.
